Print on Icing

For the marzepin, I've used a bread bakingmachine to knead it. I didn't used the entire program, but I've stopped the machine after a while. This is the first time the marble really looks like marble to me. Hurray for my bread bakingmachine.

My colleague was so happy to see this cake and shouted he couldn't eat his motor, so I've showed him the extra print I've orderd, so he can have that one as a souvenir.

Surprisingly, the icing sheet realy tasted nice. But of course, it's just candy.

Little drummer"boy"

My colleague asked me to bake his birthdaycakes. But he only said he would like to have one with strawberry and one with apple flavour. Now he is part of a coverband as drummer, so I've tried to make him a little snare drum.

I've filled this cake with strawberry mousse and covered it with blank marzepin. Then, I've used a red pearl spray to colour the sides and a bronze pearl spray to colour the borders and strings.

I was disappointed because it got torn at the sides. But my colleague was very delighted when he saw this cake.

I've used the second birthday cake for my daughter for practicing techniques. The Hello Kitty is made of Marshemellow fondant and Marzipan and is all edible. I've tried a new marble technique, but it didn't work, so it's not clear I've used 2 different coulors.

I found out it is quitte fun to make 3d dolls or caractersfor the cake (if you'll have enough time for it)

It's a pity it's winter now, I would have liked to use fresh strawberries. Instead, I've used strawberry mousse and jam again.

It's my daughters birthday, so I thougth, there should be cake. For inspiration, I went to the cakecentral website and found this cute mother duck with ducklings cake. I didn't had the faith I could make this as beautifull as the woman who made the original, but my daughter really loved this cake and so I thought it was worth trying.

I think it was really hard to make the head, I love the small duckies more. But both my daughter and her friend (also 2 years old) were so glad when they saw mother duck with her ducklings, so this project is sucessfull to me.

The duck is filled with apple pie yoghurt and buttercream.

I really love the pearl spray, it is a nice way to give a cake a nice colour in a fast and easy way.

This time I didn't cover the whole cake with marzepin, but I've used filled chocolate sticks to decorate the sides of the cake. For the flowers I've used a new technique this time and it's much faster and better then the old one.

I love applecake with cinnamon. It gives me a warm winters feeling.

A friend of mine gave me a new mix for making tiramisu. So I've used it to fill the cake with and I've also used soms buttercreme with coffeetaste for filling.

To give the cake an extra Christmasfeel, I've used the edible pearl spray.

This cake is filled with Lemoncurd and Lemonmousse. The cover is made of marzepin and the Hello Kitty is made out of marshmellowfondant and marzepin
