Cup of Cappuccino Cupcake

For a not to special occasion, I got the book: "How to be a Domestic Goddess" from Nigella Lawson for my dear husband. (I'm not sure if this was a hint or something.) I really love this book, it's great to read and the recipes are easy to make and bake.

Like these Cappuccino cupcakes, the cake is made with coffee in it's base ingredients and it's topped with a white chocolate frosting. The combination is really lovely and tasty.

In my first batch I've made 12, but 6 went to school for the teachers of my daughters class. The other six were all gone in a sec.

Princess party

This is an old picture, I've made this one about 2 years ago for my lovely daughters 3rd Birthday.

Who wouldn't like this castle cake for her 3rd Birthday? I would have liked one, unfortunately, never had these kind of cakes.

This cake really made the princess themed party complete.

Tasting weddingcakes

My friend asked me to make her weddingcake and of course I would love to do this for her. But didn't had an idea about how her cake need to be and what flavours she would like. Her only wish, she likes to use white and purple.

So on a warm summerday I went to her for dinner and made this for dessert to give her an idea of what we can make. I'm not sure which cake has which flavour, but one was filled with fresh strawberries and strawberry bavarian, one with tropical fruitmix and mango bavarian and the last one was filled with swiss cream, raspberries and white chocolate bavarian.

Cupcakes and cakepops were vanila flavoured, one plain, one chocolatechip and one stroopwafel.

These roses I've made for my next project. A weddingcake for my friend Angela. It will be a 5-tired cake with roses and other flowers in purple, with pink butterflies.

Why these roses are in white?

... to be continued. ;)

My newest addiction, cakepops

My friend gave me a cakepopmaker for my birthday. I was already hesitating to long to buy one, but another machine, which I didn't know if I would use it? I don't think so.

The first time I tried the cakepopmaker, didn't realy work, the cake wasn't round and I found it very hard to see how much cake I needed to put in the holes. I just wanted round cakeballs.

The second round was much more a succes, the cakes were beautifully round and they taste very good. My youngest girl just love the size, she can just hold it in her hands like a ball and she can eat it, 2 things she loves to do, holding things and eating it. :)

Then it was time to dip and decorate. I needed to find out, how to melt the candymelts, but after trying some times, it gets much and much easier.

There are so much things to make with cakepops, so much different designs to make. Just love this.

On the picture, treats for my sister in law to celebrate the birth of her son.

My dream wedding cake

It's now six years ago when we got married and we really enjoyed the day and our marriage life. But six years ago, I was looking on internet for some inspiration for our own wedding cake. This was my dream wedding cake. Just a simple tiered cake, with some butterflies all over the cake. Unfortunately our baker couldn't make this for us. So we really had to settle with a cake on a stand with roses and 2 fake butterflies on top (which I've bought in a store) (don't get me wrong, at the time, I was happy with it)

Last year a lot of my friends got married and I've helped them by making their a cake. But still, it was kinda painfull to see all my friends having their dream come true and I needed to settle for less.

So, when we were celebrating our 5th year aniversary, I've made my dream wedding cake on my own. :) Now I have had my dream wedding cake and we can go on with it.
